2016 Shin Research Excellence Awards Scholars Announced

The Geneva Association and the International Insurance Society (IIS) have announced the winners of their collaborative insurance research program, the Shin Research Excellence Awards, which is endowed by Kyobo Life Insurance Company. The selected Shin Research Scholars will present their research during the IIS Global Insurance Forum in Singapore, June 12th-15th, attended by 500+ senior insurance leaders from around the globe.

The Geneva Association Appoints Anna Maria D'Hulster as Secretary General

Leading international insurance economics think tank, The Geneva Association, today announced the appointment of Anna Maria D'Hulster as Secretary General and Managing Director. Ms D'Hulster has held a number of senior executive and Board roles in the ins urance industry and joins The Geneva Association from SwissQuant Group, Zurich, where she has been Chief Financial Officer and a member of the Management Board since 2013. 

2013 Ernst-Meyer Prize Winner Announced

Leading international insurance think tank, The Geneva Association, today announced that Dr Richard Peter has won its prestigious Ernst-Meyer Prize 2013 for an outstanding doctoral thesis.


The Geneva Association awards the prestigious Ernst-Meyer Prize annually for university research work in the form of a doctoral thesis which makes a significant and original contribution to the study of risk and insurance economics.

CEO and Senior Industry Executive Interviews on Regulation and Supervision

Leading international insurance think tank, The Geneva Association has today published a series of interviews from six senior insurance industry leaders at its 30th Programme on Regulation and Supervision (PROGRES) Seminar in Geneva, Switzerland on 24 and 25 March. The seminar brought together industry leadership with leading regulators and supervisors to discuss the growing complexity and sophistication of the multiple regulatory and supervisory regimes in insurance around the globe, and asked whether we are safer as a result.

Geneva Association Issues New Report on the Public Pensions Crisis in the U.S.

International insurance economics think tank The Geneva Association today issued an analysis of the looming crisis facing state and municipal pension systems in the U.S. The report suggests that the non-payment of annual required contributions and excessive reliance on one source of funding in pension planning are among the most significant challenges to overcome.

Press Release: The Geneva Association Awards its 2017 Research Grant on Digitalisation

The Geneva Association, the leasing international think tank of the insurance industry, is pleased to announce that the winner of its 2017 Research Grant is Ms Susana Vasserman for her Doctoral research proposal on Digitialisation in Insurance. Ms Vasserman is a graduate at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and is currently a Ph.D candidate in Economics at Harvard University in the U.S..
