The winners are Tse-Ling Teh for her Columbia University PhD on Governing Uncertainties: Financial Policies for Risk and Maddalena Ferrana for her Toulouse School of Economics PhD, Three Essays on the Decision Making under Risk and Equity Concerns.
The Geneva Association awards the Ernst Meyer Prize annually for university research work in the form of a doctoral thesis which makes a significant and original contribution to the study of risk and insurance economics.
Due to the very high quality of the submissions for the 2015 edition of the prize, the Judging Committee has decided to share prize equally between the two strongest submissions.
Dr Fabian Sommerrock, Deputy Secretary General and Head of Insight at The Geneva Association said, "Research is fundamental to the development of innovation and creativity, and the insurance industry has much to gain
from quality research. We are pleased to honor these two scholars whose submissions make a valuable contribution to the literature on insurance economics."
The Judging Committee for the Ernst-Meyer Prize comprises Dr Christophe Courbage, Prof. Andreas Richter, and Prof. Richard Watt.
