Oliver Bäte

Oliver Bäte has been Chairman of the Board of Management of Allianz since May 2015.
Oliver joined the Board of Management of Allianz in 2008 as global Chief Operating Officer. In September 2009 he took over the Chief Financial Officer position. He became responsible for Insurance Western & Southern Europe and Global P&C markets in January 2013.
He started his career with McKinsey & Company in New York, and later moved to their offices in Germany. In 1998 he took over McKinsey’s German insurance practice and in 2003 he became Director of the firm’s European insurance and asset management sector. Oliver studied business administration at the University of Cologne and holds an MBA from the NYU Leonard Stern School of Business.
